Arsenal are reportedly ready to meet the release clause of Wolfsburg’s highly rated left-back Ricardo Rodriguez. Having already completed a deal for Granit Xhaka, it seems like the North London giants are aiming to sign his Swiss international teammate as well.
According to German newspaper Kicker, Arsenal are willing to meet Rodriguez’s €25m release clause. The 23-year-old has enjoyed a superb campaign for Wolfsburg this season and many will see the €25m valuation of his release clause as nothing but a major bargain.
He still has another three years left to run on his contract at the Volkswagen Arena but the Gunners need to move quickly as his release clause is only valid until June.

Rodriguez will feature for Switzerland in Euro 2016 this summer and his price may skyrocket unless the Gunners move in quickly.
Arsene Wenger has used Nacho Monreal as his first choice left-back through 2015-16 while England defender Kieran Gibbs could leave the club in the summer. Rodriguez undoubtedly is an upgrade for either of those players.
