Arsenal are plotting an ambitious summer move for Real Madrid superstar Toni Kroos, according to reports from Spanish newspaper AS.
The German international, who joined Madrid in 2014, is considering the possibility of leaving the club. Premier League giants have set their sights on signing him, while there have been few offers on the table from German clubs.
Kroos has a contract at the Bernabeu till 2020, and would unlikely to come for cheap. While no price tag has been mentioned, but he would cost around €50m (with an additional £156,000-per-week wages), per transfermarkt.
Madrid board likewise are considering his replacement already. Los Blancos are targeting Leicester City’s N’Golo Kante to replace the German superstar. The club believe the Frenchman would not only find hard to reject an offer from Madrid, but at the same time would be available at a bargain price.
Kroos is also wanted by both the Manchester clubs. Pep Guardiola wants to bring him to City next summer, while Manchester United are also linked with a move. In fact, the Red Devils have a better chance of signing him, as the player reportedly ‘dreams of a move’ to Old Trafford.
