According to reports in the trusted and reliable Gianluca Di Marzio website, Inter Milan are close to seal a move for Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski in the upcoming January transfer window. The German has hardly played this season and has been vocal about it which clearly suggests that his future lies away from the Emirates.
The report states that the Nerazzurri’s sporting director Piero Ausilio is set to meet Arsene Wenger and the representatives who handle transfers at the London club. The San Siro side have already reached an agreement with Podolski befire confirming the transfer move. The upcoming meeting which have been lined up could prove decisive for Podolski’s immediate future.
Inter have asked Arsenal to loan the forward till the end of the season and Football Italia report that Roberto Mancini’s side have proposed an €7m deal to make the move permanent at the end of the season.
Ausilio is also set to meet with Chelsea representatives for Egyptian winger Mohammed Salah, who has struggled for playing time under Jose Mourinho. The 23 year old has made only six appearances this season for the Blues and is also a transfer target for Inter.
