Arsenal are not only keen to land Julian Draxler, but are also monitoring the options the buying one or two more players before the transfer deadline day.
The Gunners are keen to land Barcelona forward Cristian Tello on loan for the rest of the season and are poised to make a bid, after Aaron Ramsey suffered an injury setback.
Earlier this month, we reported that Tello, who is also a transfer target of Liverpool, had ruled out the possibility of leaving the club in January, though he hinted of reconsidering his future in the summer.
Tello whose release clause has bumped to £22m has managed only two league starts this season, and despite his claims of staying put until June, a loan move won’t be too bad an option for him at this moment.
The Telegraph reports today that Arsene Wenger is interested in signing the 22-year-old Tello on loan from Barcelona for the rest of the season to give Arsenal more attacking options.
Tello is a similar type of player to Theo Walcott, who will miss the rest of the season through injury. It remains to be seen whether Barcelona would allow Tello to join any foreign club on loan for the reminder of the season.
Should Arsenal make a move for Cristian Tello?
