However as reported by TMW website from Italy, the Gunners are interested in 20 year old young defender Daniele Rugani from Empoli. The Italian who is also co owned by Juventus has impressed this season in the Serie A and reports claim that Arsenal have been keeping tabs on the player.
TMW have cited Transfer Market expert Alredo Padulla claiming that Juventus have an option to sign Rugani from Empoli for as low as €3m despite having a contract with the latter club till 2019. The report claims that Arsenal have been bewitched by Rugani this season and could make a move after having watched him since his Serie A days.
However, I believe its unlikely that Wenger will make a move for Rugani this January but will keep an eye on his development with great interest and should he need a back up centre back could plot for the player in the summer.
