Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal has contacted the Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez over a potential transfer in the summer.
Sanchez has been outstanding for Arsenal since joining from Barcelona and is considered as an integral part of the London club.
The Chilean scored 25 goals in his debut season with the Gunners and has already bagged 7 goals in 11 appearances this season.
Louis Van Gaal has previously mentioned that his side are in desperate need of a pacey winger that can score goals. Alexis Sanchez fits the description perfectly and the Dutchman is keen to sign the former Barcelona man.
According to Spanish publication Don Balon, Louis Van Gaal has already contacted the Arsenal player and has informed him about Manchester United’s desire to sign him.
Furthermore, Van Gaal has also promised to build the Manchester United project around Sanchez.
Arsenal spent a lot of money for the Chilean and a bargain move is completely out of the equation. Manchester United will have to shell out a figure of around 50 million pounds (according to the report) for the Arsenal star.
Time will tell if there is any truth to these rumours but Alexis being linked with a move away from Arsenal is no surprise. The Chilean has been unplayable at times and deserves the attention he is getting.
