You have got to feel for Alessio Cerci as a footballer. The 27 year old Italian who enjoyed a stunning season at Torino last term moved to the greener pastures of reigning Serie A champions Atletico Madrid in the summer.
However, not only has he represented the Rojiblancos this season, Cerci is already plotting a move away from the Spanish capital to save his career. The forward who was so lethal for Torino last season with 13 goals in 37 appearances has just featured 5 times for Atletico this season.
We had reported last week that Arsenal are interested in the player and the Gunners could plot a move for the player in the upcoming January transfer window. In fact the London side were interested in Cerci in the summer as well.
Today’s morning reports from the trusted and reliable TMW website have however cited Tuttosport claiming that Cerci would be willing to move back to his homeland with Inter Milan being a possible option.
The report claims that Cerci is the Nerazzurri’s primary target in the winter transfer window and should they fail to acquire his services, the San Siro outfit have other options lined up. The list included Joel Campbell and Lukas Podolski both of Arsenal whereas out of favour Egyptian winger Mohammed Salah of Chelsea is another alternative.
