Arsenal have agreed on a £23m deal to sign the explosive Ukrainian winger Andriy Yarmolenko from Dynamo Kiev.
According to reports from Ukraine, a deal has been agreed between Arsenal and Kiev but the transfer will go through at the end of the season.
The talented winger has been linked with a move away from Kiev over the last two seasons and it appears that he will finally complete a move in the summer.
Everton were linked with the winger since last summer and his agent Vadim Shabily was also spotted at Goodison Park on more than one occasion and even posted a picture of himself alongside Roberto Martinez.
However, Arsenal have now hijacked the move and have sealed the deal with a big money offer.
Yarmolenko is a quick and explosive wide player who can operate as an inverted winger or a forward. His direct running and goalscoring ability should be a massive hit in the Premier League.
The Ukrainian earned a lot of praise for his performances with the national team and will now have the chance to showcase his talent at the highest level with Arsenal.
The left-footed winger will be a considerable upgrade on the likes of Joel Campbell. Although the Costa Rican has done well this season, he is simply not good enough to play regularly for a side aspiring to win the Champions League.
Considering Theo Walcott’s injury problems, it makes sense for Wenger to go out and sign a right sided winger who can score goals as well as provide some much-needed width.
The Frenchman has had to field Aaron Ramsey there at times this season and the Welshman is not the same player out wide.
Yarmolenko has 55 caps with Ukraine and signed a five-year deal with Dynamo last year. He has also bagged 76 goals in 187 games for the European outfit.
