Arsenal are discussing the possibility of a £55m transfer of Edinson Cavani from PSG.
The PSG star has been linked with a move away from France all summer and it seems that the Uruguayan has finally found a suitor that is willing to pay up.
The former Napoli man has outstanding for PSG and has scored 54 times in 79 games since his big money move from Italy.
However, Cavani is frustrated with his role at the club and is willing to draw the curtains on his career in Paris.
Arsenal have been linked with several strikers all summer and after their deficiencies in front of goal against West Ham and Liverpool, Wenger is now keen to splash the cash on Cavani.
The Gunners are yet to score a goal at home and nicked a lucky win away to Palace, thanks to an own goal.
Wenger has the money to land a superstar this summer and it seems Cavani could well be that man.
Arsenal are keen to challenge for the title this season, but it is unlikely unless they improve their attack. Despite the likes of Giroud, Walcott, Welbeck and Alexis, Arsenal are in desperate need of a world class striker to bridge the gap with City and Chelsea.
