Premier League side Arsenal are believed to be keeping tabs on Sporting Lisbon defender Marcos Rojo, with the Gunners set to reinforce their defence this summer.
We had earlier reported that Liverpool and Manchester United had sent scouts to watch the 24-year-old Argentine, who can play both as a centre-back and a left-back.
However Arsenal are now believed to have been weighing up bids to land him in the summer. Rojo has been an integral part of the Sporting Lisbon side who are currently in second position in the Portuguese League table.
Portuguese journalist Jan Hagen confirmed the interest in Twitter:

Rojo could replace Belgian defender Thomas Vermalen at the Emirates, who is attracting interest from Italian side Napoli. It is believed that manager Rafa Benitez is keen on bringing the out of favour defender at the Sao Paolo in the summer.
Italian journalist David Amoyal confirmed the Partenopei are keen on the Belgian.
