Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey is set to sign an improved five-year-contract with the club. According to The Guardian, the Wales international has already agreed a deal worth in excess of £100,000 a week, which will make him the second highest player at the club, behind Mesut ozil.

Ramsey, who undoubtedly is one of the Gunners’ best performer of the season, has more than two years remaining on his contract he signed in December 2012, but Arsenal want to tie him down with a lucrative contract which only suggest how highly he is rated at the north London club.

The report says, negotiations took place last month between the player’s agent, David Baldwin, and Arsenal, while the club is set to announce the confirmation within next 48 hours.

Arsenal fans can breath a huge sign of relief as Ramsey has returned to full training this week, after being sidelined for more than two months with a thigh injury.

In other news, Arsenal duo Per Mertesacker and Tomas Rosicky have signed contract extensions at the club.

Ramsey is unlikely to feature against Everton in the FA Cup quarterfinal at home this Saturday but there is a high chance that he will travel to Germany to face Bayern Munich in the crucial Round of 16 Champions League second leg tie.
