United have been interested in Carvalho for some time, with the full extent of that interest revealed today. With 12 views under their belt, a bid of some sort is surely imminent, with the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal also showing a liking to the all-action midfielder.
The 21-year-old has superb defensive qualities and reads the game with a maturity beyond his years. His tactical awareness and physical strength make him a potential star of the future.

He will not come cheap though, as the Portuguese has a reportedly buyout clause of €45m, and a contract not due to expire until 2018.
Perhaps the sheer number of times he has been watched by United indicates a certain hesitation at entering negotiations with Sporting, with the €45m clause hanging ominously over proceedings.
But with Moyes pretty sure to spark a mass exodus in May, William Carvahlo may just be the centre-piece on which to construct a whole new, title-winning midfield.
