Manchester United coach Frans Hoek has hinted that the club might be in for Pedro Rodriguez.
Hoek said: “Pedro? We will see, a lot of things can happen in the world of football, but everything is very difficult.”
According to several reports in the Spanish media, the Old Trafford outfit are heavily interested in the services of the Barcelona forward and are likely to sign him as a replacement for Angel Di Maria.
Di maria is set to complete a 64m euro move to PSG this summer and Pedro has been identified as an alternative to the former Real Madrid man.
Pedro has grown increasingly frustrated with the lack of game time at Camp Nou and has told his teammates that he is moving this summer in order to get more minutes.
Barcelona coach, Luis Enrique also confirmed that the club are powerless in this situation and Pedro will leave if a club meets his buyout.
Manchester United are looking to add more goals to their team and Pedro’s versatility is an added bonus. Depay and Pedro are expected to complete a lethal front three with United captain Wayne Rooney, as Louis Van Gaal prepares his side for a title chase next season.
Pedro would be a fantastic signing for Manchester United, who are in desperate need of goals and creativity from out wide. Further, the player is playing at his peak and will bring in a lot of experience having won every trophy at both club and international level.
