If a report on The Times is to be trusted, then Premier League giants Arsenal are more than just willing to let go of defender William Gallas and striker Nicklas Bendtner as early as January.
It has been reported that Gallas and Bendtner are the two black sheep in the Arsenal dressing room and that club manager Arsene Wenger is ready to get rid of both of them.
While Gallas is almost certain to leave the Emirates next month after his damning criticism of his team mates which subsequently saw him get stripped off his captaincy at the north London side, Bendtner’s situation appears more uncertain as he is said to be a bad influence in the dressing.
Bendtner was involved in an argument with fellow Gunners forward Emmanuel Adebayor during the Carling Cup semi-final defeat to arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur last season. Although the damage appears to have been repaired, there is still some doubt as to whether Bendtner and Adebayor still see eye to eye.
Well, Arsenal are not in the best of form at the moment and maybe Wenger should purge his side of unwanted disruptions. But wouldn’t that deplete his squad somewhat?
