Arsenal have received a huge boost in their race to sign PSG youngster Adrien Rabiot.
PSG manager Laurent Blanc wants the player to stay with them and continue his career at the Parisien club, but so far have failed to convince him to sign a new deal.
“I want Adrien Rabiot to remain in Paris,’ Blanc told reporters.
‘The decision is not mine, he might leave the club. [But] he has had an offer to extend his contract with PSG.”
Rabiot is considered as the one of the highly talented young midfielders in the world and as consequence, a host of European clubs are vying for his signature.
Arsenal are thought to be a keen admirer with Arsene Wenger having sent scout Gilles Grimandi to track the youngster regularly last season.
Blanc added: “PSG have made him a very good offer. But he doesn’t care. Shame.”
French magazine Le 10 Sport claimed earlier this month that in their latest special transfer edition claim that Arsenal had hold talks with Rabiot and his representatives recently.
It remains to be seen whether Arsenal make any formal offer for him or not. In that case a move to Italy for the youngster could be a possibility.
