Arsenal have rewarded 18-year-old Emile Smith Rowe with a new long-term contract according to Sky.
This comes after the youngsters impressive displays for the Gunners first-team during this pre-season.
He also netted a fantastic goal against Spanish giants Atletico Madrid last week which happened to be his first ever goal for the Gunners first-team.
He also recorded an assist for Alexandre Lacazette during Unai Emery’s team’s 5-1 demolition of French Ligue 1 champions PSG.
Smith-Rowe is certainly showing tremendous potential and the Gunners should either consider integrating him into the first-team this season or loaning him to a Championship club to gain more experience at the highest level.
Smith-Rowe was also a member of the England U17 World Cup squad which emerged victorious in India last year.
Smith-Rowe will is delighted to have signed the contract. He is a youth product of the Gunners having joined the club as a 10-year-old.
He was a first-team regular for the club’s U-18 side last season and after impressing,he was rewarded with 11 appearances for the club’s U-23 side.
