Arsene Wenger has confirmed that he is confident that the club will agree new deals with Arsenal superstars Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.
Both players have been linked with a move away from Emirates this summer but Wenger claimed that both players have spoken to the manager and are quite happy to stay at Arsenal.
Wenger said: “That will be done in the break, in the summer. There is nothing [at the moment].”
“I am confident they are happy and would want to stay. They have two years left on their contracts. They look happy. When I talk to them they are happy and they want to extend their contracts so I don’t think it is a problem.”
Mesut Ozil has been in sensational form this season for the Gunners and will be disappointed with how Arsenal’s title challenge collapsed in January. On the other hand, Sanchez will be quite disappointed with his individual form.
The former Barcelona man had a stellar first season in the English Premier League and was arguably the best player in England last year after Eden Hazard. Sanchez has scored 36 goals in 80 appearances for Arsenal so far.
Considering the form of Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United this year, Arsenal have squandered a golden opportunity to win the League title.
Both players will be hoping to win the title in near future if and when they commit their long-term futures to the North London giants.
Mesut Ozil currently earns around £140,000-a-week and Sanchez is on £130,000-a-week according to Mirror.
Both players are set for a salary hike after impressing with the London giants.
