FC Porto completed the signing of Alberto Bueno from Rayo Vallecano. The Portuguese outfit signed the Spaniard on a free transfer and have tied him down to a five year deal.
Bueno has enjoyed a spectacular season with Vallecano this season and has scored 17 times as Paco Jemez’ side finished 11th.
Further, Porto announced in their website that Bueno has a €40m release clause in his contract and will make his debut next season.
It is believed that Bueno is a direct replacement for the prolific Jackson Martinez, who is set to leave this summer. Martinez has been linked with moves to Atletico Madrid, Arsenal and Manchester United.
Arsene Wenger is believed to be a huge admirer of the Colombian and will leave no stone unturned in his quest for the goal machine.
Recently, Spanish journalist Kike Marin also confirmed on twitter that Martinez remains top priority for Arsenal and the Bueno deal could very well pave the way for that.
@Arsenal Alberto Bueno goes to Porto… and Jackson Martinez goes to #Arsenal? The reports are very good. Wenger decided…

Martinez would be an ideal addition to Wenger’ side, who will be looking to challenge for the title and in Europe next season.
Arsenal’s talented core have often been undone due to the lack of a top class forward in the last few seasons and Wenger is keen to address that problem.
Frenchman Giroud has had a good season with Arsenal this year and is set to play as a second fiddle to Martinez, should Wenger manage to complete a deal for the Colombian hitman.
