Chelsea maintained their lead at the top after beating West Ham 1-0 in the round 27 of the Barclays Premier League. Eden Hazard scored the winner for the Blues, and a result the Belgian international has further distanced himself at the top in the EA Sports Player performance rankings.
The 24-year-old has been in terrific form this season and scored his 14th goal of the campaign that takes his point total to 710, nearly 100 points ahead of his fellow team-mate Diego Costa.
Costa has been going through a bad patch of late having failed to score in last six games, but maintains the 3rd position with 619 points.
The Round 27 also saw Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez scoring for the Gunners against QPR; the Chilean found the target after failing to score in the previous seven matches. Sanchez remains at #2 with 658 points.
Wayne Rooney didn’t score against Newcastle but United continued their art of grinding out results when not playing well. The England skipper is at #12 with 504 points.
Liverpool’s impressive run continued as they registered a comfortable 2-0 win over Burnley. Philippe Coutinho didn’t score but the Brazilian dazzled again for the Reds – he maintains the #17 spot, while his team mate Raheem Sterling drops one place down in 8th.
