Arsenal suffered a shock defeat at home against Monaco in the Champions League in midweek and Arsene Wenger will be hoping his team to bounce back strongly in the league with a victory.
Everton are heading into this match on the back of a strong European performance, but the Gunners should start as favourites, knowing dropping points could be crucial in the top four race.
Wenger in the pres conference revealed yesterday that midfielder Jack Wilshere had gone a minor surgery that will keep him out for some weeks. Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Debuchy are few weeks away from full fitness, while Aaron Ramsey and Mathieu Flamini are doubtful for this tie.
Per Mertesacker had a poor game in the midweek and Wenger could be tempted to give January signing Gabriel a chance to impress.
Another player who came under fierce criticism for his poor performance against Monaco was Olivier Giroud. The Frenchman could make way for either of Theo Walcott or Danny Welbeck to operate in the central striker role.
