Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has now a road named after him – Sir Alex Ferguson Way.
The 71-year-old who managed this iconic club for 26 years, before returning in May also received the Honourary Freedom of the Borough of Trafford at a formal ceremony at the council chambers.
Water’s Reach, a road running away from Old Trafford and adjoining Sir Matt Busby Way, is now renamed as Sir Alex Ferguson way.
