Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez is a transfer target for Real Madrid

Real Madrid are plotting a £37m plus player deal for Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez in the summer.

Rafa Benitez is keen to add some attacking depth to his side for next season and has identified Alexis Sanchez as the ideal candidate.

The Chilean has been sensation for Arsenal since his big money move from Barcelona. Sanchez scored 25 goals in his debut season with the Gunners and has racked up 10 goals already this season.

The former Udinese star struggled to fit in at Barcelona and decided to move to the English premier League last season. Since then Sanchez has been one of the best players in the Premier League and has carried Arsenal all by himself at times.

Daily Star have claimed that Real Madrid are ready to offer £37m plus winger Denis Cheryshev for the Chilean.

Considering Alexis is the best Arsenal attacker at the moment, it is highly unlikely that Arsene Wenger will be looking to part with his prized asset. Sanchez is also a fan favourite at Emirates and the London club won’t look to risk the wrath of the fans by sanctioning a transfer.

Also it is unlikely that Sanchez would agree a move to Real Madrid out of respect for his former club Barcelona.

As for Real Madrid, regardless of the price Alexis Sanchez would be a great coup for the Spanish giants and could be devastating alongside the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.

Furthermore, according to latest reports from the Independent Arsenal are planning to offer Alexis Sanchez a new contract in order to fend off interest from other clubs.

Arsenal are prepared to make him the highest paid player at the club ahead of Mesut Ozil.
