We’re into the final game of the Barclays Premier League season. Apart from one certain title battle that is yet to be decided, rest is all settled. Arsenal have once again secured the Champions League qualification spot (bad luck Roberto and Everton!) while the relegation battle is almost sealed with Norwich prepare to start new life in Championship with Cardiff and Fulham.
Even if Norwich beat Arsenal, they cannot avoid relegation, as West Brom have a better goal difference than the Canaries.
It is simply on this backdrop, Arsenal are travelling to Carrow Road to face Norwich City on Sunday. The Gunners bereft of any motivation, have their minds turned to the FA Cup next weekend already. A day without any addition of players (long list already) joining the treatment room will make manager Arsene Wenger a happy man.
So, what could be the possible line-up?
In defence, Spaniard Nacho Monreal will take the left-back spot, replacing Kieran Gibbs, who could miss out through injury. Koscielny, who signed a long-term deal with the Gunners, could be rested while skipper Vermaelen might start alongside Mertesacker. Keeping in view, the importance of FA Cup, Sagna could be rested as well and in his place, Carl Jenkinson could start.
Cazorla, Ozil and Podli could form the attacking trio wit h Giroud operating as a lone striker.
Prediction: 1-1; Norwich will be looking to end the season on a high by putting up a strong performance against the Gunners.
