Arsenal host Newcastle on Monday night at the Emirates withe Gunners firmly keeping an eye for fourth place and secure Champions league football for next season. Arsene Wenger’s side are currently a point above Everton in the standings and the London outfit would be well aware that they can ill afford a slip up at the Emirates against the Toons.
Alan Pardew’s side however are in free fall, losing all of their last five matches. The Magpies will travel to the Emirates trying to sit back and counter on the break in hopes of returning with something in their kitty.
The Gunners beat their FA Cup’s final opponents Hull City last weekend by 3-0 and will take the pitch as the certain favourites. Nacho Monreal will start in the left back spot with Kieran Gibbs injured as Wenger almost has a full size squad to choose form.
Santi Cazorla is expected to play wide right with Mesut Ozil occupying the number ten role while Lukas Podolski will start on the left wing. As expected, Olivier Giroud will lead the line up front on his own.
