After Manchester United’s demoralising 1-0 defeat to Southampton on Saturday, it seems that Louis van Gaal’s tenure could be coming to an abrupt end at Old Trafford.
The Dutchman admitted after the match that he had let the supporters down. The defeat leaves United United five points adrift of the top four.
Van Gaal said: “I’m very disappointed that I cannot reach the expectations of the fans.
“They have – or they had – great expectations of me, and I cannot fulfil them, so I am very frustrated because of that.”
Van Gaal feels that he has failed to live up to the expectations and could quit Manchester United, as per the Mirror.
