Galatasaray manager Roberto Mancini is targeting Real Madrid’s Argentine winger Angel di Maria, who is also a transfer target of Arsenal and Manchester United.
The 25-year-old has been one of the key players for Carlo Ancelotti, but his future has come under speculation recently, with several European heavyweights are plotting a move to snatch him from Bernabeu.
It is thought that Florentino Perez would allow the Argentine to move while Gala’s financial valuation doesn’t differ from that of Madrid’s. The Turkish club are currently 2nd in the Turkish league, while they have a Champions League second-leg knock out tie against Chelsa lined up.
The Turkish daily Hurriyet speculates today that Galatasaray will lodge a bid for Di Maria to secure his services in this winter transfer window.
Di Maria caused controversy, after the Argentine was accused of making an unpleasant gesture upon leaving the field at the Santiago Bernabeu. The winger was however cleared of any wrong-doing by a Madrid investigation.
In the summer, Di Maria was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal, but the Gunners signed his then-teammate Mesut Ozil for a club record transfer fee. The winger was also linked with Manchester United as well, with David Moyes thought to be interested in bolstering his wing department.
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti however has insisted that he doesn’t expect any of his players to leave the club in winter, nor does he expects any fresh arrival.
Roberto Mancini is also keen to bolster his defensive set-up and is keen to add names like Arsenal’s Bacary Sagna and Manchester United’s Nemanja Vidic.
