Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is looking to sign a left back this summer and the Reds have been linked with the likes of Hector, Chilwell and Guerreiro over the last few weeks.

The latest name linked with a move to Anfield is Jordan Amavi from Aston Villa. The 22 year old French left back is rated highly and could leave Villa after they got relegated.

Liverpool left back Alberto Moreno has had a season to forget and Klopp is keen on adding to his left back options for next season. The Spaniard has shown that he is excellent at going forward, but his defensive positioning and decision making at the back has been dreadful at times.

According to latest reports, Liverpool have already informed Amavi’s agent that they want to sign the Frenchman this summer. It is believed that a fee of 14 million Euros would be enough to sign the talented young full back.

If Liverpool do sign him, they will be hoping that the young full back can get back to his previous level after having recovered from an injury. Amavi suffered an ACL injury during the 2015/16 campaign.

In other news, Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel is all set to leave the club after eight long years.

The Slovakian has fallen down the pecking order under Jurgen Klopp and is expected to leave in search of first team football.

Turkish giants Besiktas have submitted a 7 million pounds bid for the Liverpool star according to Simon Jones of the Daily Mail.

Skrtel joined Liverpool under Rafa Benitez, back in 2008 and made over 300 appearances for the Merseyside giants.

Skrtel is already behind Lovren and Sakho in the pecking order. Furthermore, Liverpool have signed the Schalke defender Joel Matip on a free transfer and that makes the 31 year old’s chances of getting first team action at Anfield less likely.
