Liverpool have recalled exciting prospect Jordon Ibe from his loan spell at Derby County.
The England under-20 international originally joined the Championship side on a season-long loan but Reds boss Brendan Rodgers appears to have plans for the youngster during the second half of the Premier League season.
Jordon Ibe has excited crowds in the Championship this season – offering great dribbling ability, the determination to take on and dribble past defenders and the pace to match.
The 19-year old looks set to have a bright future in front of him and Liverpool fans have every reason to be excited about what he can offer the Merseyside club moving forward.
Ibe scored five goals in 20 Championship appearances (13 starts) for Derby County, mainly playing on the left of a front three in Steve McClaren’s successful 4-3-3 formation that has the Rams in second place ahead of Saturday’s fierce clash with Nottingham Forest.
Jordon Ibe faces tough competition for a place in the Liverpool first team with Raheem Sterling, Philippe Coutinho, Adam Lallana and Lazar Marković having all played in that position this season for Liverpool.
Liverpool signed the teenager from Wycombe Wanderers back in 2012 – he has so far made two Premier League appearances for the Reds – one in Jamie Carragher’s last match on the final day of the 2012-13 season versus Queens Park Rangers, and his second as a late substitute in the 5-1 thrashing of Arsenal last season.
