Chelsea are set to reward Eden Hazard with a bumper contract that will make him the highest paid player at the club.
Eden Hazard contract update (19/12/2014)
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has said that Hazard will sign a new contract and could go on to become on of the greatest ever players at the club.
“He will [sign],” said Mourinho as quoted by BBC. “My club always told me that the situation would finish with a new contract, so I was never worried about that.”
“I don’t know players who are considered legends in clubs without winning titles, so he has to do that but the potential, I think, everybody knows.”
“I was never worried about it, since the moment I met his father,” Mourinho said. “Everything was very clear about their intentions and their happiness to stay with Chelsea.”

The Belgian, arguably a world class talent, has been one of the key figures for Chelsea this season, and his rich vein of form has taken the club to the top of the Barclays Premier League table.
According to Matt Law of The Telegraph, Chelsea are set to offer Hazard a new £200,000-a-week five-year contract, within this month.
The 23-year-old is keen to finalise the deal at the earliest so that a public announcement can be made.
Law claims that the deal will make him the highest paid player at the club, and definitely will kill all speculations surrounding his future.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho revealed last week that Hazard will soon commit his long term future at the club and it seems like both parties are on the verge of making it happen at the earliest.
Hazard has only won Europa League with Chelsea, but the Belgian will be hoping to add more silverwares in coming seasons.
