Vicente del Bosque has dropped Barcelona duo Xavi and Gerard Pique for Spain’s Group B fixture against Chile.
The former Real Madrid manager however has retained skipper Iker Casillas in the starting XI, despite his error during Spain’s 5-1 drubbing defeat at the hands of Louis van Gaal’s Holland in the opening game.
Pique has been replaced by Bayern Munich’s Javi Martinez and Pedro takes Xavi’s place in the starting lineup.
Spain XI: Casillas, Azpilicueta, Javi Martínez, Ramos, Alba, Busquets, Xabi Alonso, Iniesta, Pedro, Diego Costa, Silva
Chile XI: Bravo; Jara, Silva, Medel; Mena, Aránguiz, Díaz, Isla, Vidal; Vargas, Alexis Sánchez
