Best FIFA Soundtracks

EA Sports’ first version of FIFA was released in July 1993 and it was called FIFA International Soccer. There were games like Sensible Soccer, Kick Off and Match Day already competing in the market for the football video games since late 1980s but EA had an official license from FIFA and that’s what made it better than the rest.

From there onwards, EA has never looked back. They continued to release a game every year from 1995 onwards with the launch of FIFA 95. The game reaching it’s popularity with the 1998 game “FIFA: Road to World Cup 98”.

FIFA 12, which is to be launched at the end of 2011, will be the 19th title in the FIFA video game series. It should be noted that FIFA is now localized in 18 languages and available in 51 countries. The series has sold more than 65 million copies worldwide – making is the 5th best selling video game franchise in the world. FIFA 11 sold 2.6 million copies and generated over $150 million in retail worldwide within the first week of the game being released. That is a record for the “fastest selling sports game ever”.

During this journey of being a hardcore FIFA gamer, there have been many catchy songs that played in the background. For a FIFA player, there is a time in their lives when the only music they listen to is the one that’s played in FIFA.

Soccerlens set off on a mission to make a list of the top ten soundtracks of FIFA but due to the strong memories and old favorites, we were forced to extend it to a top 15. While making this list, I spent hours listening to music and fighting the tempt to start playing FIFA. There are a lot more songs that should have been included in this list but it we wanted to keep it short – that shouldn’t stop you from telling us about your favorites.
