Arsenal’s hunt for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot will be decided in less than a week. There are only six days left of the 2014 summer transfer window.
The Gunners have been strongly linked with a move for the highly-rated 19-year old who finds himself on the fringes at the Parc des Princes amongst the world class talent head coach Laurent Blanc has at his disposal.
French outlet Le 10 Sport are claiming that Arsenal are ‘well-placed’ to sign Adrien Rabiot over the course of the week with either he or team mate Clément Chantôme set to leave the defending French Ligue 1 champions, but not both.
Rabiot is yet to appear in any of PSG’s opening three league matches this season, whilst Chantôme himself has only played three minutes for the Parisians to start the season.
Whilst Arsène Wenger isn’t short of options in centre midfield, Mathieu Flamini, Mikel Arteta and Tomáš Rosický are all in their 30s now. Rabiot could be a player to build the team around, along with the likes of Aaron Ramsey (23) and Jack Wilshere (22).
Adrien Rabiot has only one year left on his contract at Paris Saint-Germain and several media outlets are suggesting he will leave this summer. We shall find out over the next six days…
