According to reports from Italian media outlet TMW who have cited Turkish website Medyaline, Arsenal are ready to move for Spanish striker Fernando Llorente who has endured a disastrous spell at Juventus.

The report states that the 29 year old has fallen down the pecking order with the emergence of Alvaro Morata and the Gunners are looking to seal the move for the former Athletic Bilbao forward. Arsenal are in need of a striker in the summer and Llorente would be a great signing given that he will be available on the cheap.

Moreover, his transfer price has fallen at €19m and with the presence of an enviable midfield at the Emirates side, Llorente could easily reclaim the kind of form which made such a fearful striker at Bilbao a few years ago. English tabloid Metro had earlier reported that Arsenal are ready to pay Llorente’s £63,000-a-week wages.

Llorente has featured in 26 games this season and has scored 6 goals and grabbed 1 assist for the Binaconeri who lead the Serie A standings and are in line to lift their fourth consecutive Scudetto title this season.
