Arsenal midfielder, Tomas Rosicky will be sidelined for eight weeks after undergoing a knee surgery.
The player’s agent has confirmed that the surgery was successful, but the player will now miss the first couple of months of the season.
“Tomas last Tuesday passed arthroscopic knee surgery. The recovery period is estimated at four to eight weeks,” Rosicky’s agent Pavel Paska told iDNES.cz.
Rosicky was signed after an impressive World Cup in 2006, but the creative midfielder has struggled with injuries since then.
Having spent nine seasons at Arsenal, the Czech midfielder has failed to register 30 league appearances in a single season.
Rosicky has been linked with a move away from Arsenal because of the lack of first team opportunity, but the player eventually renewed his contract up until 2016, due to a clause in his contract that allows the club to extend for a year.
