Barcelona winger Cristian Tello has ruled out any possible move in the January Transfer window but hinted of reconsidering his future in the summer.
The 22-year-old has been linked with Liverpool for quite some time now, with the player claiming that he knew about the interest from the Reds, but the very thought of leaving the club never occurred to his mind.
Tello signed a long term contract at the Catalan club that saw his release clause bumped up to £22m. However, he has only made two league starts this season while claimed that he could move elsewhere, should his situation doesn’t improve.
Marca reported that Liverpool were interested in taking the player on a short-term basis, but it seems like the player has no intention of leaving the club. He said: “I will definitely stay at Barcelona until June, then we will see in the summer.”
Likewise, Barcelona defender Martin Montoya, who was also linked with Liverpool, is in talks with the Catalan giants over a new deal, as reported by Sky Sports. Montoya is out of contract at the end of the season, while his representative, Josep Maria Orobitg, said he expects the player to stay at Camp Nou despite reported interests from several Italian clubs.
