The situation of Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata is getting interesting day by day. He is seen as one of the brightest prospects in world football, but the striker is frustrated with the limited role he gets at Madrid.
Last season, he has only managed three league starts. And he would drop further down the pecking order at the club, should Real Madrid buy any top striker like Liverpool’s Luis Suarez. On the other hand, Morata is a highly talented player and has a potential to represent the club for a long time in future.
Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti recently admitted that Morata needs more game time and wants to keep the player at the club. The problem is the player understandably wants to get regular games under his belt and therefore is open to move elsewhere.
Premier League giant Arsenal are thought to be interested for his signature, while host of Italian clubs like Juventus and Inter Milan are also keen to sign him as well.
According to Spanish newspaper AS, Real Madrid have set the price on Morata on €18m if a buyback clause is included and €30m if the deal is to be done without a buyback clause. The player’s agents want to solve his future as soon as possible, especially with so many clubs vying for his signature.
Real Madrid want to renew contract with the player and send him on loan but Morata refuses to entertain such options. So, as it stands, Arsenal need to 30m for the Spaniard, if they at all are serious in landing him.
