The Black Cats have released the brand new official Sunderland 2016-17 home kit for the 2016-17 season. The new home jersey is made by Adidas and it features Dafabet as the club’s primary sponsor.

The new Sunderland 16-17 home shirt features the club’s traditional red and white stripes. The use of Gold detailing throughout the branding adds a visual effect.
The new 16-17 home jersey has a red base which remains popular with fans and players alike. The Gold details in the form of Adidas logo, Adidas stripes, and a v-collar round off a smart design of the Sunderland home kit for 2016-17.
As with the other Adidas manufactured shirts, the new Sunderland home kit uses Climacool material which is designed to provide the players with the best in lightweight and breathable technologies.
The shorts are black (carrying on with the tradition) while red socks make a return for 2016-17, with gold detailing clearly visible.
Sunderland striker Jermain Defoe said: “The Sunderland shirt is iconic and instantly recognisable across the world. Every player is tremendously proud to pull on the historic red and white stripes and we love this new shirt.”
The Adidas Sunderland home kit 2016-17 was worn by the players for the first time against Chelsea on Saturday at the Stadium of Light. The Black Cats are fighting for survival in the 2015-16 campaign but took a giant stride in avoiding the relegation after beating Chelsea 3-2 at their home venue.
With that victory, Sunderland have moved above from the relegation zone and the Black Cats need only two points from their remaining two matches to stay up in the Premier League.
Sunderland will face Everton and Watford in their next two games. Everton’s recent results have been really poor, and Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce will be hoping to pick up full three points against the Toffees on Wednesday night.
