According to reports in the German media, Manchester United are readying a €80m offer for Bayern Munich star, Thomas Muller.
Bayern Munich have confirmed that the German international is not for sale and that Van Gaal will have to look elsewhere. However it seems that Dutchman is determined to make another push for his prime target.
After the departure of Di Maria to PSG, United are keen to make a marquee signing and Muller has been identified as a target.
Despite the initial rejection from Bayern, United are keen to table a mega money bid this week and want the deal wrapped up soon.
Sky Germany have claimed that Bayern remain confident of retaining the player by the end of the window.
Manchester United transfer update
Elsewhere, Manchester United have also been linked with a sensational move for Barcelona forward, Neymar.
The Brazilian has been linked with a 140 million pound move to Old Trafford and it is believed that United are willing to offer him a salary of around 15 million euros per year.
According to reports, Woodward was in Barcelona earlier this month to discuss the transfer. Previously thought to be in Spain for Pedro, it seems Woodward was there for Pedro’s teammate.
Further, the Red Devils have apparently entered the race to sign Kevin De bruyne and could beat City to the coveted Belgian.
It will be a very interesting and busy end to the window for Manchester United, who are desperate to make a statement signing before the window closes.
