Chicarito however has an impressive consistency scoring 59 goals in 150 appearances for the Red Devils since his move in 2010.
With talismanic striker Christian Benteke out till October with an Achilles injury, its is believed that the Clarets and Blue will finally splash the cash in the coming transfer market with owner Randy Lerner willing to inject fresh funds for the Villa Park faithful.
The Villains are also after Manchester City out of favour defender Joeleon Lescott and Tottenhma’s on loan at Fulham midfielder Lewis Holtby as they aspire to finish in the top half of the table and even fight for a Europa League spot next season.
