The Football Formation Sketcher tool allows you to do everything from plot your world-dominating Football Manager squad, to putting together lineups for your Sunday League matches, to aiding your match reports.
You have 16 formations to work with, including the standard 4-4-2, the 5-4-1, the 3-4-3, and even five and six-a-side formations.
If you want to choose your desired formation before you start, roll through the possibilities, pick one, and get to work!
Insert the player names and numbers in their places. If you move one of your selections from one position to another, click below the player box to swap.
If you want to change your formation in the middle of working on your lineup, don’t worry about losing all of your work. All you have to do is select your new formation, click ‘Apply’ and it switches the formation without changing your names and numbers.
When you are finally done with your masterpiece, click ‘Sketch,’ and from there, it’s up to you decide what you want to do with it.
You can send your formation to other people, put it up on your website or blog, or post it up for the world to see on a message board.
It is a simple tool, but it’s a pretty effective one. If you’re a hardcore gamer, you can work on your selections and see how smart or outlandish they look before you actually go put that XI out on the virtual pitch. Or, if you own a soccer site, say, like this one, if you do match reports, this is a great tool to use for those. The possibilities are endless, but just make sure you put your pieces in the right place, or they’ll be torn to pieces even before they step onto the pitch.
I’ll be putting it to use myself, and so should you. To check it out, head over to the Football Formation Sketcher tool.
