This might as well be the creation of a very imaginative mind but there are reports circulating in the transfer market that Spanish and European powerhouse Real Madrid are eager to swoop on in Aston Villla’s talented winger Ashley Young.
That Real Madrid are desperate to add reinforcements to their injury-plagued squad is understandable and it has already been established that the Merengues are looking forward to signing a talented winger as they lack width.
With Juande Ramos’ appointment as the new coach of the club last week, the Madrid giants are looking towards England to make January recruitments. And it has been reported that Ramos would like to sign the talented and young Ashley Young from Aston Villa, although he is fully aware that around 30 million pounds would have to spent on the player.
But would it be worth the gamble? That Young is talented has no doubt but he is still young and sort of inexperienced Europe-wise, isn’t he? Is Young the sort of player who Real would be able to assimilate into their squad immediately?
But perhaps more importantly, would Aston Villa manger Marton O’Neill be ready to let the player go even at an exhorbitant transfer fee? A few days ago the Ulsterman was comparing him to Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo. Moreover, the Villains have an outside chance to break into the top four of the Premier League at the end of this season.
