Real Madrid sign 5-year deal with Emirates
Real Madrid have not just confirmed a record sponsorship deal with Emirates Airline but they have also revealed their 2013-14 home kits by adidas. Real Madrid join a host of top teams from Europe who display the Emirates sponsorship on their shirts. AC Milan, Arsenal and PSG are the other three.
Chairman of Emirates Group, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, made the announcement alongside Real president Florentino Perez at the Santiago Bernabeu. The officials have revealed that the deal will run for five years and is an improvement on the €24 million per year deal with bwin – making it the biggest sponsorship deal in Real Madrid’s history.
The news of this deal was originally brought to public attention in April. According to the reports then, talks for a €30 million-a-year deal were in process. Emirates is already an official partner of the esteemed club. This new deal, however, will also see the Galacticos travel to the United Arab Emirates in January to take part in the Dubai Football Challenge.
Real Madrid launch 13-14 home kit by adidas
The adidas manufactured home kits for Real Madrid’s 2013-14 season have been unveiled. The shirt is white with three black stripes on the shoulder and an orange and black stripe on the collar. The manufacturer logo and the sponsor logo are also in black while the club crest goes on the left chest.
The shorts are also white with the adidas stripes on the sides in black. The white socks with the adidas stripes and and orange stripe on top and the letter ‘RM’ embroidered on the front. Iker Casillas will don a purple home kit with white details. The shorts carry the club crest on the right leg.
