Dimitri Payet produced a masterclass performance as West Ham came from behind to win 3-1 against Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth.
Aston Villa secured their second victory in the Premier League after winning 1-0 against Crystal Palace.

“It felt like a defeat” said Wayne Rooney after the match.
Rooney returned to his old best after his scoring twice, including once from the penalty spot on a vibrant afternoon at Tyneside.
With those two goals, Rooney has now scored 14 league goals against Newcastle, more than against any other team.
He has also matched Thierry Henry’s record of 175 goals for a single club. Needless to say, Henry did it with Arsenal.

More on Rooney – it was his first brace for United in last 11 months. He has scored four goals now in last three games; last time he scored in three successive United appearances was 28 months ago.
United’s 3-3 scoreline is also a bit flattering, and almost came out of the blue, considering there were ten 0-0, and seven 1-1 in their last 17 draws.
Georginio Wijnaldum, scored again for the Magpies. He has been the only bright spot (along with Perez) for Newcastle this season. The Dutch midfielder is the highest scorer for Newcastle with eight goals to his name.
West Ham moved into Premier League’s top five, but the Hammers had to pay the price in the form of Andy Carroll, who got injured yet again!

Aston Villa were given a fresh hope in their battle to stay in the Premier League, after they won 1-0 against Palace.
Villa Park has often turned hostile in recent games, with Villa players hardly produced anything to cheer up the fans. But on Tuesday night, vociferous fans helped them to raise their game, as Remi Garde’s side emerged victorious. It was their first win in 20 attempts since their opening day victory.
The players played with passion and the fans wanted them to play with pride and they got it. Henry Winter notes: “Villa’s players did not let them down.”
It was their first Premier League win since August, ending a run of 20 matches without a victory. In terms of days, it is 157 days since their previous victory, and 248 days since they last won at home.
Can Villa scrape relegation? They still need 27 points from their final 17 games to match their last season’s tally – they finished one place above the relegation zone.
