Liverpool will travel to Villa Park to face Aston Villa in the Premier League late kick-off, looking to register their second victory of the season.
The Reds won their opening match against Stoke City at Anfield in a dramatic way, where debutant Simon Mignolet produced a stunning save off Jonathan Walters’ penalty, right at the end of the match. Brendan Rodgers has named an unchanged squad for this tie, with new loan signing from Valencia Aly Cissokho starting from the bench.
Aston Villa won their first match convincingly, beating Arsenal 3-1 at the Emirates; however Paul Lambert’s men suffered 2-1 defeat against Chelsea in their last match. Christian Benteke has been in fine form so far, continuing from where he left off last season, and has already bagged three goals in two matches.
