Either Manchester United is extremely lucky or they’re just too damn good. Stealing a point from Aston Villa after going 2-0 down in the 76th minute – the first was scored in the 72nd minute by the way. United bounced back strongly with a Federico Macheda goal from top of the box and an intelligent Nemanja Vidic header off a hopeful Nani cross.
A good win, sure, but coming out of a midweek stalemate Manchester derby, it should be a cause of concern for manager Alex Ferguson. On the flip-side, Villa manager Gerard Houllier really needs to stick it up to his players that they could not defend a two goal lead for only 14 minutes.
