Arsenal forward Theo Walcott has signed a long-term deal with worldwide sportswear giant Adidas.
The German brand have announced the England international as their latest signing today.
Theo Walcott will be jumping from Nike to join Adidas as part of their latest campaign, #therewillbehaters. The campaign is themed around the “motivation of hate” and how sometimes that reaction can be the ultimate compliment from fans, the media and fellow players alike.
The 25-year old said:
“I am excited to be joining Adidas and lining up alongside some of the world’s best players.
“The adidas adiZero F50 is an exceptional boot and I am looking forward to scoring goals in them.”
Walcott will become one of the leading faces of Adidas and will wear the new adiZero F50 in Arsenal’s next match, at Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Last month Theo Walcott made his return to action following 12 months on the sidelines. He has so far scored two goals in seven Premier League appearances (2 starts) and one goal in his three FA Cup games (2 starts).
Adidas’ new ambassador is facing competition from both Alexis Sánchez and Danny Welbeck to start tomorrow’s game at Selhurst Park on the right wing.
