Liverpool and adidas unveiled the new away kit for the 2011/2012 season.

The new shirt takes its inspiration from metallic elements. The primary color is solid grey and the shirt is finished with metallic silver adidas stripes across the shoulders, the sponsor’s logos and the laser cut, woven club crest.

The aim was to create a modern, stylish and distinctive look.

Furthermore, there are more design features on this shirt. More subtle than the adidas stripes. A vertical single stitch silver pinstripe is engineered through the shirt fabric and a V-neck design that integrates red piping detail.

The kit also includes a special sock design which features anatomically placed cushioning and an Achilles protector.

adidas has incorporated Techfit to help improve speed, increased endurance capabilities and enhance awareness. Techfit stabilizes and focuses muscle energy to generate explosive acceleration and deliver maximum power output.

The shirt also features ClimaCool technology, a mixture of heat and moisture controlling materials, ventilation channels and 3D fabrics which improve air flow to the key heat zones on the skin.

The away 2011/2012 kits will go on sale on 12th May, 2011 but can be pre-ordered online from the official Liverpool store or here.
