Join celebrated football pundit, author, radio show host and DJ Andy Brassell every Monday on the Soccerlens Show.
In Episode 14 of the Soccerlens Show, Andy Brassell talks about the moves made in the January transfer window. The economic crisis surely had its affects on this much anticipated transfer window which allows managers and clubs to make up for the mistakes they made or the gaps they couldn’t fill up during the summer.
There were no big transfers in January except for Tottenham’s Robbie Keane moving to Celtic on the last day. Also, Fiorentina’s Adrian Mutu failed a drug test and they had to bring in the Brazilian striker Keirrison from Barcelona. In La Liga, Real Zaragoza made the most of this window as they signed seven players and dumped another five in effort to turn their performances around.
