David Wheater (Middlesbrough) to Aston Villa, Everton or Stoke
He may only be 23 but it feels like David Wheater has been around a while. He is no longer discussed in the same glowing terms. This is both due to Boro’s struggles and because he himself hasn’t pushed on in the way some would have expected. That being said, with his contract up at the end of the season, he looks a good value January punt.
Verdict: Will probably go.
Ashley Williams (Swansea) to West Brom, Wolves or West Ham
Williams is one of a host of Swansea players who have been winning admirers. If Swansea continue their good form its unlikely that he would be tempted by a move, unless it was to a really big side.
Verdict: Likely to stay
Scott Loach (Watford) to Spurs
With a couple of call ups to the England squad, Loach’s talent is no secret. One could see Spurs looking to secure him for the future but it’s not clear that they would have the confidence to give him the number one jersey.
