The Liverpool 2014/15 kits, both home and away, have been released, with Warrior Sports taking inspiration from the highly successful 1960s era at the club to create these classic looks.
Liverpool 2014/15 Home Kit
The new strip’s design takes inspiration from the Roger Hunt MBE era in the 1960′s where he was a major factor in the club’s success, including promotion to the First Division and the team’s very first FA Cup win.
Hunt, now 75, was pleased with the outcome of the kit, “It’s great to see that 50 years on, Liverpool are still looking like giants in their all red strip”
Liverpool boss Brendan Rogers, who has guided the club to the very cusp of Premier League glory this season, hopes the inspiration drawn for the kit from previous successes can push the current crop of stars to continue their rise back to prominence,
“The 1960s was such a defining era for this club. Sir Roger Hunt, Ian St John, Ron Yeats …the list of Liverpool FC legends that played under Shankly goes on and on. For the players to wear a shirt that has taken inspiration from such a successful period for the club, can act as a reminder that they can bring those glory years back to Liverpool Football Club.”
Liverpool 2014/15 Away Kit
The bold yellow design features flows of red which follow the natural contours of the body, and Warrior’s signature moisture-wicking ‘War-Tech’ fabric, which together with the latest in ventilation and temperature control technologies puts this kit at the top of the range in terms of aiding performance and maintaining comfort throughout the 90 minutes.
